The Song Name Game

I take it you're not familiar with the song or Carole King's early career. It was written for Bobby Vee, who turned it down.

It Might As Well Rain Until September peaked at #22 on the Hot 100 in 1962. AFAIK, it was her only hit as a singer before Tapestry in 1971. It used to get quite a bit of airplay on oldies stations in the late 20th century. :)

September Song -- Willie Nelson

I think the puzzled look was over newbie Mikahawkins1's contribution of "When September Ends -- Greenday," which should properly have been "Wake Me Up When September Ends -- Green Day," but shouldn't have been entered at all because it had no connection whatsoever to "Marksville Two-Step -- Bruce Daigrepont," tomservo's preceding entry. Color me puzzled, too.

Letter To You -- Bruce Springsteen

(Since the Green Day song was not a valid post, I will play from Tom's entry. Perhaps he saw the GRE in Daigrepont and thought that was close enough. Carry on...)
