The Song Name Game

Sitting In The Midday Sun -- The Kinks

Ron: Wink Martindale's "Deck of Cards" was a recitation with a Christian message. It was a top 10 hit on both the pop and country charts, not an obscure item by any means.
Saturday Sun -- Crowded House

(The "Deck of Cards" post was out of place. It had no connection to the post that preceded it. None that I see...)

Sunday Sun -- Neil Diamond

You're right. I didn't notice because Silkie's post was #10,231, midway down the page. She must have been following up on a post st the top of the that page, which had an "of" in it. Oh well, guess we'll have to continue this way, too late in the game to go in a new direction.

The First Time Ever I saw Your Face: Roberta Flack

I stand corrected CT. Maybe I should have clarified that if I wasn't aware of the song - it must be obscure. In other words, if it's obscure to me, its probably obscure to all! 😄

"Early In The Morning" — Vanity Fare

Where Silkie's post and the one before it intersect is not clear to me. (The embedded letters "in," perhaps?) Thus, I've included a reference to ron's post (along with a nod to Silkie's) while returning us to scanman1's.
Well, I'll tell ya, Kemosabe, I was reading the posts, saw Turn of a Friendly Card. It reminded me of Wink Martindale, and I rolled with it. That is the best I can do. That last became first, and the first last on the page. Sorry for the disruption.
