The Song Name Game

Jennifer Tompkins -- Street People

(Actually, Rupert Holmes and some studio musicians.)

Wide Open Spaces -- The (Dixie) Chicks

What do you think? Refer to them with the name they used at the time the song was recorded and released, or retroactively change it to the "cleaned up" version? How about Lady (Antebellum) A or (Confederate) Railroad -- the latter of which is no longer recording?

For this forum, I would think either is acceptable. However, song titles with profanity have been removed. John Mellencamp was forced to use John Cougar by his record label. He went along for awhile before ditching it permanently. Cat Stevens is now Yusuf. Prince used a Symbol for a while.
Now to the next song...

Spaceman -- Dave Matthews Band
