The sorry state of Radio

Tommy Edwards out at Bonnevile but how does he manage to stay 17 years as announcer for the Chicago Bull?

Simple Answer: Radio Today is run by a bunch of crazy paranoid people with no respect for their fellow human beings. Sad.

Bringing Johnny B back was a positive for the industry. It would have been more positive to see an actual new talent brought in and start to gain listeners. IMO PPM's look like they may be positive for radio. They seem to have been good for XRT! WXRT the only station to have actually played the songs now featured across the dial when they were released.

The crumbling of the stock of radio companies I think will be good for Radio. Radio needs less cost cutting and more new ideas. Will the Phoenix rise from the ashes? I don't think so but 1 or two stations out of the hands of big radio would be a start. Radio needs to be less about limiting competition thru clustering of stations and more of getting people to listen and care about programming.
