The Sound continues to move....

It is not down as significantly, but KNKX has gone through a similar decline over the same period. KUOW was at a 5.6 in June, dropping to a 4.5 this month. KNKX was at a 2.5 in June and has dropped to a 2.1 this month. If KUOW continues to drop even as KNKX rises again, that will be a problem, but I would not consider KUOW having a problem.

This is the correct answer.

Year over year is the trusted metric. And as pointed out before, News/Talk stations traditionally do not fare as well in summer months. Add in panel turnover and the numbers for KNKX and KUOW are very normal.

And what was happening at KUOW around that time?

So you're saying a full share drop over four books isn't a problem? OK. I stand corrected.

I don't care. It's not my job. But when I see a four book drop, I call it a problem. I'm not assigning blame to anyone, and I don't care what was happening at the station. But I would hope THEY care about it. In commercial radio, when this happens, they typically make some kind of change.
