In other radio news:

- Mary Wood at the Cincinnati Post reports that radio station WBLZ-FM has changed to a new format - 50s and 60s golden oldies rock music, with the name "The Tiger" and using the call letters WGRR-FM.

- WEBN-FM will drop its remaining classical music programming to broadcast a full time format of album oriented FM rock music.

- And, Ruth Lyons has announced that she'll leave WKRC-AM to join the staff of Crosley owned WLW Radio.

Just listening to this Tiger oldies station. Heard them play Buddy Holly, Beatles and Bobby Goldsboro. Songs I've never heard on FM radio before. Wonder what this will mean for Dusty Rhoads and his WLW hot wax weekend shows.

And I was just resigning myself to Stan Matlock's Magazine Of The Air being dumped...this is all moving too fast for me.

What?

Don't tell me that my favorite "beautiful music" station - WWEZ 92.5 will be going away?

What will I listen to in the elevator at Shillitos?

Never fear...Al & Ed Fishman's WAEF 98.5 is your constant companion...

I heard a rumor from a good source who says a radio manager who shall remain nameless has heard from a former vice president of a well known radio company who heard from his milkman that WSAI AM 1360 will drop their long time Top 40 format and change to Country. Again, this a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt, but that is the word on the street.

Congratulations. You have officially beaten that dead horse into dog food. It's good to have skills though; I'm fairly certain none of you writes comedy for a living.
