I've been on the beach now for six months. The places that have replied to me have said that I have the qualifications and the experience. However, I don't have "the sound" they are looking for.

Can someone please explain this to me? Is this radio-speak for "you are wasting your time in the business?"
 
Sounds like you may be applying for the wrong format... Sorry about your luck, no one is hiring me either, but of course I havent been trying that hard.
