THE SOUNDS OF TINO COCHINO TO HIT THE AIRWAVES OF SAN ANTONIO

To Grantchester, the person you are talking about that worked at Kono on mid days has passed. I worked with him and he was a great jock and a good friend he taught be alot about radio and life. I remember he always told me live life to it's fullest. Larry blue is his name. He also went by the name of ll cool hagen at kape radio. I miss my friend. Peace.

Well I havent "hard" that anyone misses Z. Well, except maybe the former employees.

Its heard not hard...anyways...The first few days..."real" listeners were asking what had happened to Z. People who actually listened to the station.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

san antonio missing z? cmon wake up board op.....

no one is missing z....it wasnt around long enough to miss

Excuse me...since when does it matter...board-p, promotions, programming...still radio. I would do promotions for Z...as promotions we interact with the listeners...isn't that how things work..."real" Z listeners have no choice but to change the dial or keep it.

Sorry ReneQ. Nobody misses Z. Nobody listened to Z. It was one of the worst CHR stations in the US for too long. Power is not much better. :-*

This Tino Cochino isn't going to save that frequency no matter how many of his buddies post on this board.

AMEN  :-*  Unfortunetly...hip hop wins by default...usually.  MOST not ALL, urban/rhythmic jocks are pretty damn mediocre... my opinion, especially in this market. But they seem to still win...every market is that way. Even jockless urbans do VERY BIG numbers wise. A CHR couldn't do that, because the listener base is way more involved and interactive into "pop culture"  BUT, this may be different....since the decline of hip hop radio ALL over the country as a whole, is declining (not opinion, just die hard facts in black and white).  Only time will tell, but best wishes to all  8)

I miss Larry Hayden. he was the greatest.

KONO 101- As Larry blue

KITY 93 and KAPE -As LL cool Hayden

YOU ARE TRUELY MISSED R.I.P.
