The Source WOLI am 910 105.7 Flips to Classic Hits

By now, all of us are starting to see kinda/sorta a Grass Roots movement to take back some of what the Corp Monsters have swallowed, over the years. Note: I do not list Salem amongst the Monsters. They are smart enough to see that EARTH, even though secular, makes money, without offending the public.

The jury is still out on WRIX, and WCCP....Hmmmmm? Between ownership, LMA's, and/or formats, we've changed our underwear quite often, here lately....so, if anyone gets killed in a car wreck, no shame will fall on our Parents. That's why I enjoy reading the Topics on this board.

Frankly, I no nothing about The Source or what they have been broadcasting in Spartanburg. However, flipping to Classic Hits is not a bad idea, if it is Programmed correctly. Most formats today are fragments of their claimed format. The EARTH is doing quite well with it's "Oldies" format. Classic Hits is a different format. Let's see if they get it right...or they just copy The EARTH...?????????
 
The Source is starting to sound a lot like 103.3 did a couple of years ago. Bill Drake mornings, some paid shows, the sports talk from 1400, some PBP, and oldies in between.
 
It would be nice if someone would purchase the old 1400 station and get a new tower back up or move the tower to another location and get the station back on the air and program it with oldies or classic hits or turn it back to it roots back in the 70s when it was called wkdy 1400 and get an fm translator
 
That would be interesting if they swapped 94.5 and 103.3.
Would give Earth a large coverage area it deserves, while Conservative Talk on 103.3 would still serve as a decent competitor to 106.3.
I hope we don't see another CCM station, like the one Salem has not far away in Athens GA on 104.7.
The former Shine @ 96.7 should tell you CCM just isn't needed around here, we have enough of that already.
