In the movie "Material Girls" Tanzie (Hilary Duff) didn't want to go to this party where they were playing The Spice Girls. She didn't like classic rock!

Actually, she wins a lot of awards sop Lady Gaga might be quality.
My point is they were considered classic, but she was actually using the term "rock" to describe them.
