KWOF-FM / 89.1 The Spirit in Cedar Rapids, Iowa will conduct open tryouts. Why not? It worked for the Eagles back in the 70s.

Females strongly encouraged to tryout!

"Females Strongly Encouraged" usually means they already have in mind that they want a female anyways, so guys.. put on a dress, and lipstick :)

Sometimes, but not always.

I do like the "open tryout" idea!

How is KWOF doing vs KNWS? If I remember correctly, KNWS has recently moved to one of the big TV sticks, adding city-grade coverage to Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.

Correct, KWWL's tower near Rowley, it boosted their coverage area farely well...

Yes, they have a GREAT signal. Both stations are showing signs of growth which is a POSITIVE for Christian radio in Eastern Iowa. My hat's off to the PD, they're doing an awesome job.
