With Boston a toll-free call from so much of eastern Mass and with so many listeners on cellphones or smartphones with unlimited minutes, is an 800 number for an FM necessary anymore?

Also unlimited nationwide calling from Comcast, and I'd imagine Fios as well. I haven't thought about making a long distance call in years.
