the sports hub

well i thought i would post this since in a week or so i think the sports hub's one year anniversary is coming up!! so what do you all think??? i guess what do you like and dislike???? well i like it all there haven't much changes except the gary being shipped off in favor of Gresh which is alright its still the week link along with Felger and mazz there pretty good i like tnr the best though!!!!!!! well thats my thought feel free to respond regards

Got to admit that I've switched to Felger and Mazz from formerly listening to the Big Show with the Big O. Only problem I have is that I'm much more of a baseball fan than hockey fan and sometimes Felger gets a little too deep into that subject, especially in the off-season. I don't get a chance to hear the midday guys but I do switch back and forth between TnR and D&C. My main complaint with The Sports Hub is DA at night. I don't think he brings anything to the table in terms of entertaining talk. His content is completely benign. I've written here before about a couple of interviews I've heard him do that were just horrible to listen to, especially if he's friends with the interviewee, i.e. another media type. I know the alternative is Mike Adams who can be awful silly on EEI, but more often than not, it's better than the DA show IMHO.

I should have welcomed the Sports Hub as an alternative to 'EEI. 'EEI had and still has a lot of shortcomings, but as soon as I heard that Felger was their "star", I just couldn't root for them. As a matter of fact, I hope they fall flat on their face. Just as I cannot abide the sound of Mustard and Johnson, I have even more hatred of Felger.

On some of the shows, there seems to be a conscious effort not to discuss baseball (this obviously does not apply to Felger and Mazz). Is this a result of the fact that WEEI carries Red Sox games, and The Sports Hub wants to focus on the teams to which it carries - the Patriots and Bruins? I hardly EVER hear DA talk Red Sox, and Gresh and Zo, admittedly football guys, do not often talk Red Sox. Despite lower viewership this year and the Patriots' continuing popularity, the Red Sox are still the most popular team in the market.
