The Star Morning Show... on WODS

Maybe he's still being paid by the station in New Hampshire.
Maybe WODS wants to make sure they don't have another Bob Lobel massacre on their hands. ;D
Maybe they are still paying off Zito's contract.
Judging by the comments on WODS's website, people are happy he's back. I never heard Karen/Ralphie on Star. Were they a talk-oriented show or music-oriented? WODS is supposed to be music-oriented (I thought) but Karen talks a fair amount doesn't she, based on the few times I've heard her?? Maybe it's time for WODS to change formats (time to start rumors? ;D ) and, if they do, I hope they do it before November 1st which is probably when they start Christmas music 24/7.

19 months on the beach would be an extraordinarily long time for Clear Channel to pay him for doing nothing.
The sad thing is NH unemployment pays a fraction of what MA pays, at least if he worked in MA it would have been less of a financial burden on him and his family.
I'm always happy when stations hire people, it's too bad Zito got canned though.
Now the next question is why add a sidekick now, headed into the all Christmas all the time season which is probably less than a month away.
Are Karen's numbers down and they need Ralphie to prop them up?
Has CBS found some extra money and can afford the cost of a second air talent in morning drive?
Is Ralphie working for minimum wage?
As for Lobel, there was never any plan or expectation that that deal was anything more than a very temporary gig for him.

i loved ralphie and karen on Star 93.7!!! I am so excited they are back together again....all we need now is the STAR REPORT hahahaha!

I don't think they will flip, or in any way tamper with the current imaging, but there is no disputing that their playlist is heavily weighted towards mid to late 70's dance/disco music, and light on classic hits and almost devoid of classic rock.
Now I can only go by the 6+ numbers, but they are pretty high up there in the ratings with a million plus cume, I don't think a flip would gain them anything more than an bunch of expense to change everything they have worked on for the last umpteen years, but adding a few more dance/disco spins IMHO won't hurt them at all, and it is free.
Has WODS moved their transmitter to the Prudential Center yet?

It looks like the relocation from 128 to the Pru was held up over concerns about RF Radiation levels, but that was later ruled as irrelevant, from what I can figure out the change was approved earlier this month, but as of now they are still out on 128

By the looks of this it looks like WODS is moving up to the ERI master antenna that WBZ-FM and WJMN use and giving up on their own antenna mounted on the same tower.
