So, Think Tank members, what are the do's, don't's, how's & why's of the Commercial Stop-set?
I clocked WSPA-FM one weekend with a (Shameful) 5-to-6 minute Stop-set, and two more of the same size, before the hour was over. So, lets clock, fess-up, and discuss...the nessessary evil...

To me, no FM should run anything more than...a Max...of 9 & 1/2 minutes:
That's three...3-minute stop-sets, with two :15 second sponsored ID's; both the Top & the Bottom of the hour.
Also, the position of each hour's stop-sets are not the same; changing periodically.
The sales staff can sell :15, :30, and :60, but sold-out is as the afore mentioned.
Spot bumping is OK, for higher rates, but the clients events are never jepordized.
If you stay sold-out, then it's time to raise the rate card.
Stop-sets over three minutes just kill your TSL, and create a pre-set button punch-out habit, that's hard to derail.
It's up to a strong playlist to keep them there, but commercials are a..."The" nessesary evil!
