The story of WGSO. What is the story with WGSO?

for all of you that think this station has no chance i would have to say you all are right. when you dump quality programming for what you can call, and i use this term loosely scab talk hosts then you have yourself a ship thats sinking faster than the titanic. It stems from the fact that in one years time this station has had 4 GMS, that right there proves that this station has no direction and more importantly not a clue on how to succeed.Lets say this "THE VOICE OF THE NORTHSHORE" idea didnt work.The sports block has a mixed and solid group of guys that have knowledge and personality. Jeff Crouere has a very lively morning show and Bernie Cyrus has a solid show in a lucrative slot. The only thing about the weekend lineup thats worth listening to is the sports shows on weekends.The departure of Ed Clancy was uncalled for and he wasnt given a chance to leave on his own terms i thought that situation was poorly handled. I mean come on Ed has been in radio a long time providing entertaining shows that will be sorely missed.How do you fix this monstrosity of a mess........ the answer is simple its too late.So for those of you bashers, this post tells you all you need to know about why WGSO is sinking.
 
WGSO has long been a joke...Sportsnut, I would check my cred if you're calling Bernie Cyrus' show "solid"...as opposed to what? Gaseous might be more appropriate. The albino a-hole who is running the station into the ground allegedly has a Rebel flag in his office. They're slowly turning the station into Syndication central...wonder who'll be next...Cyrus or Crouere? The bloodletting has just begun with Clancy.
 
I always thought Clancy was the best of the bad bunch. Cyrus the worst. Shows what I know; but then, I'm not as smart and wise as the ownership of WGSO. Is KT in or out? His daily shows seem to be gone, but he's listed as host of some occasional shows. I hope Johnny ends up being okay. He may have been duped, but he sure is devoted. However, anyway you look at it, the best thing to do is stick in the fork. "WGSO is done".
 
Any body in the biz with any info to share about one Harry Finch, current, and 4th GM, speak up please.
 
With what is going on at WGSO i mean the infomercial era is really making waves isnt it lol I am saying that sarcastically. No more jewelery talk hmmm wonder whats next. Ahhh the entertaining laughbox that is WGSO continues to amaze. They get anybody off the street to put them on radio and boy let me tell you thats a sure fire recipe for radio disaster.
 
Why not take a stab at a music format that is not being done on other stations. Everything else they tried failed. Perhaps Smooth Jazz or Nostalga?
 
Smooth Jazz (106.7) and Nostalgia (1450,94.9) have both failed in NOLA.

We need to think up some others .. classic country might on a signal like 1280, but 990????!!!!????

Hire a bunch of has-beens and never-weres, park it in Slidell, get some non-radio guys to run it, and it will take off!!! Wow, that’s the ticket!!!!!

Wait a minute, on second thought, hasn’t that already been tried?
 
How about "Dead Air".....we'd be "grateful". Second thought, what they're airing now sounds pretty dead.
 
I figure ole Jimmy would pass as out of all the stations, only 3 are AM and usually he loves translators as you can get away with a lot more on them.. however to get his feet wet in New Orleans that could be a possiblity...

Hell he could set up a studio on Airline and have reason again to come down every week :D
 
WGSO...not to be found in the Arbitron ratings.....has come up with their savior. She is Sheri "Who?" . Watch out WWL! Watch out WRNO!! Here comes W-G-"Sheri"-O.
 
Is Trahan still there?
It seems his role has diminished down to a one line bio and no on-air shift.
