The story on the Boston Marathon explosion

Has been on every single channel, and some of the runners have saw it right before their own eyes. Reports have found out that there were 3 explosions that took place in the city killing 2 and injured so many people out there. Hard to believe, it has been the cooler talk of the day. Every Channel-Broadcast & Cable-have all been showing the latest coverage. Due to the sensitivity of these events that has transpired, The bruins' game has been canceled. and That city has ordered everybody to stay at home or in their hotel rooms-for the time being.

Amazing how many hours you can fill with a little bit of cell phone video and some witness interviews.

Here's the tally:
NBC: 5h, 17m (including a currently-airing, "Terror in Boston" special report)
ABC: 4h, 17m (plus Nightline, later tonight)
CBS: 4h, 50m

I haven't been watching CNN/MSNBC/Fox this evening, but it looks like they're all still going seven hours later.

NBC, ABC, CBS all on. CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Telemundo, Bloomberg (IIRC?), Univision were on as well. Did Fox News break in to all of their network affiliates (as if the State of the Union was going on?)

Comcast Sports Network New England simulcast sister network New England Cable News all afternoon.

NESN - New England Sports Network which is owned jointly by The Boston Redsox and The Boston Bruins was simulcasting CBS 4 WBZ until 5PM when they switched to a rebroadcast of the morning's Redsox Game.

YES - Yankees Entertainment Sports network as usual ran Mike Francesca from WFAN 101.9 FM/660 AM. He was doing is own coverage. I don't know what WFAN radio was running, but later on YES was showing some stuff from both FOX 5 NYC (which was simulcasting FOX 25 Boston) and FOX News Channel. - I believe NewsCorp owns part of The YES Network.

Coverage was also on Telemundo and Univision. Univision was using ABC 5 WCVB, which is owned by Hearst. I don't know what Telemundo was using, but they were speaking via telephone to Julio someone or other (I didn't catch his last name) from MEGA 890AM, which is the major Latino Radio Station in Boston.
