The Strip on HD2 in Dallas

While people are posting new stations or discoveries...here's one I've been listening to off and on, but oddly no one seems to have mentioned: The Strip from CBS in Dallas. It is the HD2 of JACK-FM there and sounds fairly good. I've found the rotations very tight at times, but the tempo is very up and they have a nice resing of the TM Martini Lounge jingle package along with a decent voice guy. I find it odd that they didn't put at least a copy on JACK's HD2 in Las Vegas...since it would really work. (It is also streamed via the AOL/CBS network.)

I've been listening on line from time to time as well. I think it's pretty good. It does concentrate on traditional Vegas style artists, but that is exactly what the name implies. If I still lived in Dallas, I'd probably be a fan. It is one of the better HD-2 channels I've heard.

I wonder if it will make a blip in the ratings? Probably not, since I doubt there are enough HD radios to make any noticeable difference. They should try to get it on a translator that covered North Dallas. For reasons that seem to defy their own rules, the FCC has been allowing HD-2 channels to be rebroadcast on analog translators these days. It is an interesting loophole. I’ll bet it would get some listeners then.
