The Supe, Errr, "The Big Game"

Has anyone used or heard creative ways other than the common phrase "the big game" to refer to the Super Bowl?

I just heard a commercial for a supermarket which encourages folks to have snacks ready for "the big game for the championship of professional football."

Now if that's not contrived, I don't know what is!

The Big Bowl

The Dustup in the Desert

The Main Event

The most overhyped, overproduced and overpriced sporting event in the history of the civilized world. (Okay, that one doesn't really roll off the tongue so well) ;D

I think anyone describing it should make it as contrived as possible, because it's silly to keep grown people from saying the real name of what the championship game of American professional football is called. Everybody knows what "Game" people are talking about this week, and it's not really "The Big Game." ::)

OK, the "beep" bowl, or beeper bowl. Heard it on a promo on a station here in town a couple of years ago. Nicely produced. Everytime the word "super" was beeped. So obnoxious it was cute - and made the point. Now you know why they call the NFL the No Fun League.
