The thread on Pattie Moreno

I have deleted the thread on Pattie Moreno's hiring at KBMB at the request of the person who started the thread, including the potentially actionable material.

I have posted this explanation because of something the original poster said in requesting the removal:

Can you please remove this post and all its comments. I just signed up with radio-info a few days ago and thought it was kind of like Net Talk or a radio gossip blog. It was well known in Fresno at the time of what had happened and it was wrong. My main point is that KBMB has had like 5 PDs over the last 5 years with big turnover. Just figured it will happen again. So, if you feel it is inappropriate for your site, please remove. And, I apologize.

People, this site is not like the usual net blog. The owners provide this site at no charge to you in exchange for you all following a reasonable set of rules. Most of those rules are designed to prevent the owners becoming legally liable (that is to say, prevent lawsuits) for what is posted here. So, in light of what just happened here, I am going to remind you all:

You cannot post whatever you want here without fear of consequences. The owners will not tolerate it, and as a moderator who answers to them, neither will I.

In other words, if you are going to make allegations, you damned well better show a reliable source, or I'm going to question it. And if you refuse to answer, or you make a habit of such posting, the owners will step in and stop you, permanently.

I think that's a great decision. Meanwhile, I wish Patti well in her new gig in Sacramento.
______________

Glad to see there are some people on this board with ethics. Why is it that people are so quick to tear others down, sometimes without even knowing them or their reputation? Jealousy? Immaturity? Resentment? Or perhaps they are so unhappy with their own situation but instead of doing something to improve it they'd rather berate those who are moving onward and upward? Oh well. Guess there's always a few in the mix.

Best of luck, Patti and Merry Christmas everyone!
