The thrill is gone. . .

Seems like the Rev. T.J. Graham has done a 'sweeping' format change with his talk show 'Open Forum', further weeding out the 'buffoons' from his call in talk show.

Problem is, the show is no fun to listen to anymore. .

The Rev. now screens his call off the air, using instrumental music tracks as filler (typically stuff from MF Doom or looped instrumentals). Sometimes these filler beds last a minute or more, allowing him time to stack up 'legit' callers, normally the same 5 or 6 'normal' people that call in each day. Occasionally, one of the so called buffoons, or 'sons of a biscuit eaters' slips through.

While it is admirable the Rev. is trying to improve the production quality of the show, the repetitiveness of the music beds is a bit tedious between callers. Plus, the Rev. will occassionally say, "I just took a caller off the air who said this that or the other". . .something disagreeable, of course. I wonder if he realizes the 'buffoons' are still disrupting the show in an indirect way (with HIM TALKING ABOUT IT! ???) ?

I now have an extreme dislike of B.B. King's 'The Thrill Is Gone', which the Rev. plays CONSTANTLY as 'filler' (first week he went with this new 'format', it was played about every 5 minutes).

Yeah, it is indeed gone, for sure. . . *yawn*
