Maybe I'm late to the party, but was out and about today in Denton County, and tried to listen to The Ticket on 1700. Instead of Bob, Dan and Donovon, I instead heard Dave Ramsey on 1700?
What's up, Cumulus?

Looks like a lot of 96.5 and 101.9 out of Paris for me. :'(

I actually liked it when 1700 ran 570, since I liked coast to coast.
I say 1700 should be its own thing, super serve Collin County.
1700 SHOULD be back in Grayson County from whence it came as the replacement for 950AM (COL-Denison) which is the reason the 1700 license was granted in the first place.

Yes, but there is ZERO programming for Grayson County on 1700. The COL is now Richardson. The first thing SusQ did when they shut down 950 and got 1700 on the air was apply to "move" it to Richardson. (Obviously there are just not enough audible signals in Richardson and the community of Richardson needed a station more than Denison which now has no AM service. Sherman (as well as the rest of Grayson County) is left with only the daytimer on 1500 since 910 was moved out.)

I listen exclusively on 104.1, so I haven't heard the switch yet. KLIF was simulcast on 1700 until the storm damaged the 1310 tower — 2008 or 2009? I do know it was during the Ticket Compound.

570 during the day is just fine,Tony Williams said:Hey Liberty Valence,
Do you have a tough time picking up 570 even on a good radio and antenna in Collin County? Just curious.

Can someone remind me what full power-up will be? Maybe going from 5,000 to 25,000 sounds familiar, but wanted some concrete confirmation.Triple Fake Jerry said:1310 was off the air for about an hour and a half this evening before sunset. (104.1 was still fine.) Wonder if we get the full power-up tomorrow AM?
Elevation does not affect AM signals.Triple Fake Jerry said:Either 20K or 25K -- the application is on file and has been referenced elsewhere on the board. I'm too lazy to look it up.
For some reason, the signal contour map I saw of the higher power isn't much bigger than it is now. Lower elevation at the tower maybe to protect others on 1310? I know the purpose of the upgrade is for better office building penetration downtown.
