...yes, you too can tune into Howie at 5:20 today and hear the heir-apparent to the granny who called in EVERY fookin' week to ask Max Robbins about "The Gahhhdian"...Now we have a new Jahmoke who calls EVERY week to ask why "THE E RING" is tankin' and circling the bowl. Dear "Happy": Taps can't be played soon enough for this Gavone! SeeYa!

What About Max and TV Guide ?

Surprised no one has called Max to ask him what he thinks of the new TV Guide.
Boy, Max got off that sinking ship just in time. The new TV Guide which no longer has local listing is a disaster of Titanic proportions.

Someone Did Tonight

Was listening in my car tonight when someone asked Max about TV Guide. The caller's wife has an 8 year subscription and wants her money back he said. All Maxz would say is he left TV Guide two years ago - and not a minute too soon.

And yes someone did ask about The E Ring. Several people have called up
when Max was on to say they didn't like the "new" TV Guide and some
have cancelled their subscriptions. And Howie has mentioned a couple
times that his 10 year old daughter Carolyn seems to like it--"it's
more like a REAL magazine". Meaning more celeb news, more pictures.
Well, his daughter may like the new TVG but Howie doesn't...

Max DID explain @ TV Guide...

....The people @ TV Guide don't give a tinker's cusp about any readers over the age of 25 (as is in all the advertizing biz)! Sooo I guess all those toothless tigers that have been calling in will have to put their magnifing glasses away and get with the 21st century and use the on air programming guides! Funny that Howie didn't know the Herald sh#tcanned the TV section months ago! Funny story from the chick who worked at the newpaper and got calls all day with old-timers complaining about the listings... Get A Fookin' Life! See Ya!

Re: Max DID explain @ TV Guide...

Polls say that anyone under 25 doesn't read anything in print. That can't be good for TVG. Then again its all pictures. Sort of an adolescent "Dick & Jane" I guess.

I have been getting TV Guide on and off (mostly on) ever since i can remember.
My main beef is the lack of local listings. Bring back the local listings but keep it in the larger magazine size.

Forgive me if this issue(pun intended) has been discussed, but did any-body at TVG consider the fact that the new size mag does not fit in the old size racks at the checkouts?! It's like a size 10 foot in a size 7 shoe!

At my stupermarket, the rag is almost half folded over and jammed in the old TVG wire rack. Very nice!

BTW, how long will it stay at 99 cents to get anybody to buy it?
