THE TROPO INTERFERENCE IN LAFAYETTE IS RIDICULOUS TONIGHT

T

I believe this is the strongest I've seen in over a year.

KRRV 100.3 (Alexandria), KYKZ 96 (Lake Charles), Gator 99.5 (Lake Charles), WYLD 98.5 (New Orleans), 101.9 (Monroe), and Big Dog 106 (Beaumont) are all coming in crystal clear like a local station.

I can't even get KPEL's FM signal at all! KZWA 104.9 out of Lake Charles and KXKW 105.3 out of Simmesport have completely blocked off the 105.1 frequency. (I'm using an analog stereo, by the way.)

I've managed to catch Hot 97.9 in Lake Charles and even 97.9 The Box out of Houston on the same frequency. I'd imagine the interference would be much worse in Lake Charles.

Has anyone else experienced strong interference tonight?

You must live north of Lafayette? Cause Simmesport is barely running maybe 3kw last I looked and to cover KPEL is a feat during normal tropo ducting

But I catch KRRV sometimes here and I'm 20 miles from KLRZ on the same frequency

But here is an idea on how bad (Or good) it currently is

I am just a few miles north of Lafayette and I get KRRV 100.3 (Alexandria), KYKZ 96 (Lake Charles), Gator 99.5 (Lake Charles) clear all the time, WWL-AM comes in clear during the day sometimes on a good (or bad) tropo day.
