> > Ashwood took over a Netwok that needed change and he has vastly improved the lineup. Czabe, J.T. The Brick, Myers and Cox is rock solid. There weekend lineup is the best in all of sports radio and that is a fact. They have had troubles in the morning, but at least he has the guts to makes changes when necessary. He took over a radio network that had TV people on the air and had to get rid of many negative employees. He tried to save Bruno, but Tony insisted on being an idiot and decided not to hire an agent to represent him during contract negotations. That is why Tony has now taken a $400,000 paycut and works for a Network that we all know is going out of business. Tony has the business mind of an 11 year old.

Also, the $400k pay cut is getting old!! With the money FSR supposedly "saved", they could pay for morning show. And with the loss of affiliates/advertising, there's probably not a lot of that $400k left!!

The lineup on FSR is questionable!! Myers/Cox is awful!! Brian Cox needs to see a speech therapist or remove the rocks out of his mouth. The 1st shift is solid! Rome is garbage!! JT is another version of Rome! Haven't really listened to the 3rd shift, but I think Kevin Wheeler would be an improvement for FSR.

Rome is garbage and Brick is another version of Rome? Rome is the most successful sports talk host of all time and Brick is on more radio stations than any other host other than Rome. Wheeler is another in the long line of out of work hosts looking for an update job. Get a clue and realize that the best hosts in the country are the ones who keep their jobs and grow their auidence.

The Thompson Bros. are decent, especially compared to the current stable of local San Antonio sports talk personalities like Parker, Chancellor, Vexler, and Pasacrita. Those guys are all horrible and quite annoying. Stacie the Sports Chick and her "fantasy football expert" husband Peter Burns need to give up their pipe dreams of being on-air personalities and get back to their respective day jobs of schlepping Hooters chicken wings and Miller beer.

Let's look at what has happened in little over a year. Two different individuals have taken over the Extravaganza with no success. Even in his old hometown, Ashwood's replacement Extravaganza is only on the air for one hour each day. FSR force feeds the listeners, at least the ones on XM a repeat of the morning show while Rome is on. Rome used to be entertaining before the 'parrots', I mean clones started calling in to worship at the feet of their hero. The Drive has had a couple of different people for Myers to work with. Craig Shemon is a decent host, but James Washington comes from the Bryan Cox School of Speech. JT is good if you like screaming and having listeners get cut off. Jorge Sedanco is an adequate host, but the Karen Kay laughter needs to go. The only time I listen to FSR is when I'm away from my XM radio. No sports network is perfect 24/7, but FSR seems to have cornered the market on mediocrity. In San Antonio, the ratings for the local sports station have actually increased since two local shows have replaced two FSR shows.
