The True Oldies Channel

I would'nt count on that. The TOC is losing affiliates left and right..His San Francisco affililate KFRC just got it's plug pulled last week and I believe the same just happened in Chicago on WLS-FM.

106.7 is doing better and sounding better without them. True Oldies was ok but nothing great. It would be interesting to have them around or at least on the AM though.

It's a hard sell even on AM..KFRC was on 1550 AM and with a decent signal CBS yanked it and decided to lease out the station. Now it's some Indian music.

WLS has a separate TOC feed with local liners from Scott Shannon and a few other jocks.

You can here it hear, among other places: http://www.wdgyradio.com/ In beautiful mono from America's favorite Twin Cities!

How is 106.7 sounding better? The music mix is terrible. The only bright spot is Tripp West, he's a great jock just wish he had better music to play. The rest is just tired. The TOC is fun to listen too with features and great music. The Sunday night cruzin show is terrific. Say what you will Shannon has done a great job. I wish 106.7 would at least put the TOC on it's HD-2 channel instead of the same old jazz music over and over. At least the TOC has a great stream from the WPLJ-HD-2 side.

So I guess this is a prelude to "The Oldies Channel" coming to WGUN?? I wondered if that was what was coming next when AM Lover started this thread.......
