The Trump Administration rants about ABC News And NBC, Says They Should Lose FCC Licenses

I had a couple few interactions with Arizona politicians in my time (mostly recording PSAs or handling a talk show/podcast remote session) and it was an interesting mix. I never let on my political leanings, but for the most part the politicians and pundits on the right were friendly enough, even when I handled an interview on NPR's Weekend Edition. Same with a couple sessions I handled for Pod Save America. The one weird thing I saw was when I had a Governor in studio who became known for wagging a finger at Obama. We were making small talk, and she was very personable...until the hangers-on arrived (in the form of managers). They were getting pictures and glad-handing when someone mentioned some policy thing (immigration, IIRC) and it was like someone had thrown a switch. The friendly lady I was talking to morphed into her "final form" in an instant, and started shouting at Obama as if he was in the studio next door. I was like "um...he's not here right now, and what happened to the person I was just talking to?"
Apparently, Janis K. Brewer liked to play to an audience. And, since I broached her name, I'll let you know that I was on the Governor's Council on Blindness and Visual Impairment (GCBVI) while she was in office. For the most part, the council got along with her except for one interesting call. (I know this has nothing to do with radio but I'm going to finish the story anyway.) At the time I had gotten on the GCBVI, there was a rule created by the council that all members could serve only two consecutive three-year terms. Governor Brewer nixed that, saying that the previous governor's (Fife Simington's) order did not include term limits for the council membership. So that was that.

On the other hand, our current junior Senator (Gallego) was a blast. He's a bit more polished now, but he's pretty much the same guy whether the mic is on or not.

My best friend has dealt with Mr. Gallego and he's said the same thing to me about him.

I was not surprised when they fired Scott Pelley. To me, he's the modern Dan Rather and I would love to hear those two get together on Dan's podcast. The note comparing alone ought to be fascinating
