Have they dumped their AAA/hot AC lean yet? They're beginning to play some good hard rock artists, such as Crossfade.
 
Living in Austin, (but spending most of my life in San Jose), I wouldn't know for sure. PLease let me know what the deal is. Could this be a trend toward a harder format at Channel 104.9?

No, they are not skewing harder. Crossfade is being played on many top 40 stations--definitely not hard rock. Channel still succeeds the rights of that to KITS, which doesn't play much.

Channel's niche is "new music/alternative." That's what they're going to be.
