The Truth is...

Ron Chapman will be an out of the house consultant and thats it.

Ron has recommended Larry Dixon and i would assume Larry will take the offer.

Yes Ron is great but KLUV has 20+ years heritage and the best signal in DFW.

Excuse me now i have to cut the lawn in HP were moving soon ;)

And KRLD has a great signal on the AM band and can't manage to get into the top 20 25-54.

It's not about your signal, it's about how many people want to listen to your signal. And if they provide an acceptable alternative to KLUV, they'll get some audience.

I agree. Look at the ratings success of KRNB. Same exact signal as 96.7. In fact you could say that a considerable part of their audience may be on the south-east side of the metroplex.

Of course they'll get some ratings. That's a given but don't look for even the Great One to beat KLUV. Ain't going to happen. And signal DOES matter in many cases. I've heard great sounding stations on peanut whistles and got crappy numbers and i've heard crappy stations on big ass signals fail.

Now, if you'll excuse me the movers are here :D

Yeah, that's Newton's law of RF... Or maybe Newton's law of TX? Darn, I can't remember.

Used to - before they started messing with IBOC. They lost about 20 miles to the South and have frequent dropouts throughout town. Never a total loss of signal with replacement from an out of market station like 107.5 in Houston, but they are in bad shape in valleys in the area. Before IBOC - solid as a rock everywhere in the metroplex.
