The Tube, Gone?

I just tuned in to watch the Tube and but it looks like WLVI is now simulcasting their DT channel, just like the rest of the DT's. In a way its kinda a bummer, I enjoyed the music videos!

Nope. Verizon FIOS-TV is still running the Tube on 862 in full digital video and audio unlike
some monster cable monopoly in Eastern Mass. which downconverts every digital signal to deal with limited bandwith.

I just saw the tube on WTXX-DT2 last night, I'll have to check it again tonight, to be sure.
Kraze, no need to check, dawg. I've been watching Roseanne on WTXX and they had a commerical for The Tube on WTXX Digital Channel 20.2 and COMCAST Digital Cable Channel 250. And don't forget WLVI isn't owned by WTXX anymore. WLVI is owned by WHDH now.

WTXX never owned WLVI-TV. It was Tribune Broadcasting who owned it.

I just checked again earlier and the Tube is back on Comcast channel 296. I guess it must have been a Comcast error. And speaking of HD channels, will Ch. 56 keep the Tube on it or will they replace it once the analog licenses get returned to the FCC?

I still have it on my line-up (Comcast Digital). The channel's up in the 280's or so. It is still on and is still listed in my on-screen program guide as of 3/10/07.

looks like it has been replaced by an open captioned simulcast of 56-1.

Since ch 7 bought the station this was a possibility anyway.

Still on here with WTXX-DT (CW) 12-2, a.k.a. "20-2" in the Hartford/New Haven market, for both antenna and cable.
