I think what he is trying to say is that Mr. Childs would not hire a black person to be the Director of Ops or the position that Ken Dowe is retiring from.

That is exactly what I was saying. No Dir of Ops, No Sales Manager, No Controller, No Office Manager on the Service Plantation

You are correct, it is his business. This Obama thing must be killing him. Hang on Massa Childs only 7 more years.
 
And KNOK was owned and run by white folks for a LONG time, too. My father once told me that this was a point of contention with black listeners back in the 50s, but it was better than having no station at all. Hell, even Pat Boone had a piece of the action at KNOK in the early 60s, if memory serves me correctly. Doesn't get more white-bread than Pat.

Does it bother you that Mr. Childs is Jewish, too?

Nope does not bother me. Its his business. Its a private organization. I am one of the few folks who actually will defend the Non Urban Dictate. If you don't want black folks to purchase your products, that is your business. Its a stupid policy, but no one should be able to tell a person where or when to spend their advertising dollars.
