The Universal WTOS thread

To get the radio station that gives radio-info the true reason to exist.. WTOS-FM without the need of an amp. May I suggest a geography near the college or East Burke for example which is something of a higher altitude and something that's not obstructed to Sugarloaf. You should get better reception in winter, since the leaves do absorb somewhat of the FM and TV signals.. See how good you are.. CHOM 97.7.. Can you pull in the almost impossible ?? Go get em ! In East Burke. WBCN was an easy get.. What was on 94.5 was a lot tougher where I lived due to a French CHR powerhouse on 94.3 from Montreal booming in.. 102.5, 103.3, 104.1 and 106.7 from Boston were pretty unobsructed and 'easy' to pick up at the time.. Rock 101 WGIR-FM, forget it due to CBF-10 from Sherbrooke booming in on 101.1 as well.

new radio tuners ( carver tx-11) (sangean hdt-1) can really block out sideband interference. a 94.3 I am not worried about interfering with 94.5 however in answer to your CHOM 97.7 question the only place I know to get it withing 10 miles of WGMT is actually on Burke itself straight under the 40 degree angle of radio bounce. I have clocked CHOM on the Burke Auto Road going up ;D .
