The Unmasking

To The Dance Blog Industry and the City Chat Industry:

My name is BJ Steigner and I am a member of the radio-info dance music community. Many of you know the good and bad about me and what I said inside the blogs on both Dance and in three other chat blogs (cities).

Many of you are mad at me because of the way I reacted to every dance music coalition out there...And you have a right. Even though my actions were truth to the point, I admit to overstepping my boundaries.

My actions are my responsibility and I would like to sit down to all inside this blog and talk things over.

I also want to make a full public apology to all inside this blog, and to the dance music blog around the world and that's including Tony Santiago, Victor "Latino" Canales and all industry vets I have hurt in the past because of my actions....<I am willing to sit down and talk to all.

I also want to man up to my actions and apologize to all the music coalitions and to radio-info.com for my actions concerning the dance music industry, the dance music blogs, and the city chat blogs on this web page.

If I was allowed forgiveness and a second chance, I am willing to unmask, sit down and talk things over.

Sincerely and with kind regards

BJ Steigner

Yey!!!!! A BJ for every dance coalition member!!! :D

First to instigator.... :D ROTFLMAO!

Now onto serious business. BJ, I harbor no anger against you.

However, what did make me ticked was the fact that you only saw things without opening to reason. In that sense you had your own agenda in mind and when I and others have tried to explain to you why a certain thing may not work, you just didn't want to open to reason. Not that you had to agree with me, but hear my side fairly without having your agenda take over on that.

Having said that, there are certain things that have happened over the past couple of months regarding how the radio industry looks to dance music fans. I got word of this from radio industry pros that consider us as "looney fanatical maniacs". And that was from all of the "Bi-atching" that came about just after Pulse went off the air on the FM in New York. So to that, I had to clean our reputation up. Sure, we love our music but at the same time we can't come off as these fanatical nuts that only want dance and bash other genres in the process. That was why I had to take issue with someone else on FB that posted his thoughts in here and came off fanatical. I had to do something drastic at the time; he may have hated me but the last thing I WANT is for our community to look bad. And quite honestly, for awhile, WE DID.

Being down here at the Winter Music Conference in Miami has opened my eyes to many things. And to that, when I get home we have to all work on the good for ALL of us and not let negativity spawn us as well as make us look bad to those in the industry that matter. I still believe in this music and will die doing so. But at the same time, I have come to an understanding myself on certain things which is why for what has to happen, I'll have to work alone but for the common good of all of us, especially the artists busting their tails in the studios to bring something new in the hope that the "masses" can hear it.

I will look out for us ("fight" is no longer in my vocabulary) and do whatever I can to make our music and the fans the very best we can be in terms of our actions as well as pushing full support of our music.

I don't know how many other coalitions you ticked off...last I checked there's only Boston besides me! lol.

I need for you to answer a question before I continue on.....are you "islanddxer" (aka: John Pine)? Answer that and we'll continue from there :)

Y'alls drama is boring. Drama is suppose to be fun and in SHORT posts. Sheesh.

For the record...I am not Islanddxer. I only have one name and that is the name you see here.

I have been doing some research for the Dance community and this involved domain registration.

So far, nothing has been reported nor registered.

I hope this answer the question Tony.....But will anyone forgive me??

Answer that.

Let me say it short and sweet because I don't further drama on this. :)

Let your future actions show that you are sincere and contrite. Instead of "fighting", open your thoughts to different viewpoints. Learn the radio industry from the pros and see where THEY are coming from. If you can do that, people will consider the past "water under the bridge".

Make today a new day for you! :)
