The use of the word DUHH!

Just to toss this out, but how many broadcasters are noticing the constant use of the word: DUHHH.....assume that DUHHH is a word?

I noticed the term seems to be present in commercials, promos, on-air conversations, etc.

Why is it that the moment a catch phrase comes up that advertisers or air personalities have to BEAT THE SUCKER TO DEATH? Doesn't this make the product or story they're trying to sell even more boring that it already is?

Duhhhh, we live in a world where those insurance selling cavemen just got their own sit com, there is no end to the contempt broadcasters feel for their listeners/viewers.

Again and again, H.L. Menchen was correct 70 years ago and correct today, 'you will never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the average American.'

Actually, that quote was 'Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public."

The one you may have been looking for is.....

"No one in this world has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby."

Glad to be of service.
