The V-102.5 website is under construction

It's been under construction for about a week. I'm digging the new logo. I'm a huge fan of the Hot AC format, and at first they weren't doing it right. Now since Dean has showed up along with other changes, I've been locked in 102.5 in the mornings, and Lulu & Trish are finally standable. To be honest though, If I were the PD, I would have kept Bob & Sheri (I wish people would quit spelling her name wrong) in the morning slot, had Dean middays, and Lulu & Trish in the afternoons. I would move I think it's Jim Patrick middays currently, well whoever does middays now I'd put that guy at night after Lulu & Trish.

What do you think?

To answer your question, I always thought Bob & Sheri were a decent morning team. I was listening on Star 97 in either middle or high school when I first tuned them in. I believed then and still do now that they can compete with Woody & Jim, only now that competition is in Bowling Green instead of Nashville. Yes, Dean has been a good addition, but was added in the wrong slot. V-102.5 could have slid him in right after Bob & Sheri with the "new" playlist. They've been putting the cart before the horse ever since they flipped from CHR/pop, and adding Dean in the morning is the only thing they've come close to doing right. If only they would dump some of the ridiculous satellite service after Lulu & Trish in favor of a live guy or girl...heck, I'd do it if it paid minimum wage

Gotcha! Well, call Beth Murphy. I bet she'd LOVE to find someone who will work cheap. I can't imagine Dean is working too cheap. But he is worth it. Good to hear him on the air, even without his partner.

That's about as unfriendly of a female logo you can find. NICE! It looks like The Nashville Predator logo...what a joke! Lulu and trish...AWFUL...They were that is! To whomever posted that they were improving...yeah, just in time for them to be demolished. Lulu is next, and she's blind if she does not see it coming. That frequency has NEVER really done anything...The management there has no real idea of the current state of radio. Never have and until there are sweeping changes...they never will.

The new Rock station will diplace The Buzz...if you think 10 billboards will save ratings...HAHA! Many companies are dissing billboards, people don't are anymore.

There are some really good people there, it's just that they are grossly outnumbered by bad one's.

Spike:

What exactly is - or could/should/or will be the new Rock station??? :)

And while everybody's talking about 102.5, I just have to say V-102.5, as a moniker, is about as boring as it gets. I admit it would have
been worse to have to say The Venus every five minutes.

In all fairness, everyone in this market has a lot of talent. Even Lulu has shone in the spotlight. When I listened to her several months ago, it was obvious she had no direction. I haven't listened to Dean yet, but I am aware of his talent, so he'll do fine, if, someone knows what to do with that station. I don't think they've figured it out yet.

WVNS-FM has a terrible signal in many places of Nashville. It's transmitter is located in Charlotte, TN, in Dickson County. That the first problem with it. WVNS-FM is a old FM allocation that was WDKN-FM, licensed to Dickson, TN when it first signed on at 102.3. It was co-owned with WDKN-AM 1260, at that time. Then, in the 90's, it moved to 102.5, and took the calls WQZQ. It was relicensed to Pegram, TN, in order to move the transmitter site closet to the metro. WDKN-AM was sold off to a local Dickson owner.

That station has been Country, Easy Listening, Classic Rock, CHR-Top 40, and now Bright AC.

They seem to complete good in the Clarksville Market against Saga's Q-108, still they can't seem to hold in buyable numbers in Davidson County.

Was it ever Jazz? I have a list of local radio formats,

and I got Jazz from somewhere/someone. Doug "NashRadio"
