The Virtual Engineer

Anybody know what happened to The Virtual Engineer website? All I get is a 500error page.

Here's what's posted on the site. It took a bit of drilling down through links, but I finally found it:

"The Virtual Engineer: 2007-2024(?)

"Hey Gang! I just wanted to put something up here. It's with a bit of sadness that I have to tell you that our site is probably lost to time.

"Unfortunately, the host has locked access to our database for some unknown reason. I am working with them to try and resolve it, but I can't make any guarantees. As many of you know, this has been a labor of love - several volunteers have kept the site running, and I've spent plenty of money over the years paying for the hosting. Of course, the biggest contributors were you guys. You made the site as valuable as it was.

"I will keep working on getting the database back, but if I do, the future of the site is uncertain. To be honest, social media has taken the place of message boards for better or worse. Add to that the fact that my workload has only gone up over the years, and I'm not sure that I can keep it going. Once or twice I've thought about handing it off, only to get some pushback.

"So, bear with me. At the very least, I'm trying to get the database back. If I can manage that, we'll get things back to where they were, and I can give some thought about what's next.

-Chris"
