The Walrus 1700am

It seems The Walrus 105.7 is now simulcasting on 1700 am, it least all day Saturday. Has San Diego 1700 gone away?

I bet its because they lost power to the 105.7 transmitter again because of the recent storms. Mason mentioned earlier this week that if they go off the air that you can still listen online or tune to 1700am to hear them.

Over the weekend, dx'd 1700 AM, the signal came in good and the format of The Walrus was a good mix of music. I wish they would continue to simulcast 105.7 as there isn't anyone playing 60's/70's oldies on AM radio anymore. (I found the HLN coverage boring at best and would rather listen to regular live talk radio.)

KVNS also On 1700 does 60's/70's. But with the Walrus 1700 in the way catching it could be an issue.

As For 1700 in San Diego Iding the 1700's could be harder if there we're 2 Oldies 1700's.
