The Wave's Chuck Tiller & Scott McConnell

Have Chuck Tiller & Scott McConnell left the building at the Wave 95.7? And it looks like they are doing a lot more preprogramed shows.

Scott and I are still there. Currently, The Wave website is undergoing a transformation. We are changing some shifts around, now that Kelly McClain has joined the weekend staff. When you click on the "Wave Program Schedule," you will see the term "Wave Smooth Operators." That term is in place on that particular platform page. When the shifts are finally resolved, it will be reflected accordingly.

This weekend, Scott is off. I will be on Saturday and Sunday night in addition to my Saturday morning schedule. The only pre-recorded programs are the Dave Koz show on Saturday morning at 8 and the Legends of Jazz with Ramsey Lewis at 10 on Sunday night. Occasionally we have the Wave Guest DJ show at 9 on Sunday nights. Usually it is someone who has a connection to smooth jazz.

Good to hear, Chuck(*)! And congrats to Kelly. I always enjoyed hearing her on the old K-Lite. ..truly "smooth" delivery.

(* yes, I DO listen.)

Chuck, good to hear! I like the both of you guys' voices. Maybe give the web person a thumping or two, though.

I heard from Scott Saturday night (9/30.) He confirmed that he was going to KOZT Mendocino, California. It's about 250 miles north of San Francisco. A couple of weeks ago, he mentioned there was a morning show opening on KOZT. It's on 2 frequencies, 95.3 and 95.9. The website is http://www.kozt.com. It's known as "The Coast." There is an audio stream. The format is kind of AAA and Classic Rock. Since it had not been confirmed when I responded on 9/29, I did not mention it.

I'm glad I got the chance to get to know Scott while he was here and I wish him the best.

For the past 2 weeks, Kelly has been doing the Sunday morning show. Chuck why are you not on that shift? You have been on since the wave began. Kelly has a nice voice but thats about it. She has no personality. There is no warmth at all. You made us feel like a part of the family. Perhaps a better way to describe it is a connection, like we are sitting at the table with you. I hope this is temporary. Now it sounds like everyone else in town. Boring.

Thank you for the kind words, Nichole. Keith Myles now rejoins The Wave and will be on the air Saturday night nights and Sunday afternoons. I am still on The Wave for 2 hours, Saturday mornings from 6AM till 8AM. Actually, I am there from 5AM-10AM, which includes a production shift. At 5 AM the CBS program "Info track" airs and at 5:30AM, "This Week In Houston" at 5:30AM. That show has rotating hosts from the local CBS stations. I'm on at 6AM and the Dave Koz radio show is on at 8AM. At 10AM, Donna Frankiln is on.
