The WBRU Alt Vault

Saw a full page ad in the September issue of Providence monthly for the WBRU Alt Vault at The Complex. It looks like they're setting up shop on the upper level rock club as their home away from home with live broadcasts & will have vintage studio boards on display. They're inviting listeners to come drink in the BRU studio, or the closest thing to it. Sounds like a good idea, putting the station live right where their potential listeners are. Of course, you'd have to be old enough to drink & young enough to go to The Complex so if anyone fits that description you can report to those of us who fit only half of it.

That's the problem. The Complex draws (feeds?) on 18 to 25-year olds, none of whom could give a rat's behind about old audio boards. Maybe they can have early hours for all of us old farts who just want to look at the equipment.

Let's a bunch of us just show up with an engineer. The average engineer would clear the place out in 3 minutes flat.

I was tempted to go and just sneak in ... but reading this made me realize just how old 42 really is! HA!
