The Weather Channel HD begins June 2

There have been a lot of promos lately about the Weather Channel broadcasting from their new HD studio starting June 2. Directv added the Weather Channel HD last fall, but currently only the 'Weather on the 8's' forecast maps are in HD.

Outside of those nature shows, what difference will HD make on their studio stuff? None, as far as I can tell.

If nothing else, at least the picture will be clearer. Similar to watching any newscast, HD is better than SD.

They have been showing teasers showing test broadcasts they have been doing with the new set.

Charter and a few other companies have added TWC HD already (with no local forecasts). I wonder if Comcast will add it, and if the Intellistar HD (the computer that inserts the local forecasts) will be ready as well.
