The Weather Channel trumps Weather Nation in LIVE storm coverage

Big difference in storm coverage tonight. Weather Nation is not very impressive, even High School or College like. I was expecting better out of them. TWC is kicking their butt.

Also surprised CNN is not there covering it either (they will finally be all over this on Tuesday).

Hope to be with you in the morning as the storms haven't reached Atlanta yet. 10/4

CNN is usually on late night reruns by this time, and a lot of it is full of direct-response ads, especially between about 3-5AM ET. But they should be back to WX coverage early in the morning.
I streamed a little bit of WJTV 12 in Jackson, MS while tornadoes were around the Jackson area. Good coverage. Not as good as the pro himself, James Spann at ABC 33/40 in AL. He's the best weather guy I've ever seen. April 27, 2011 says it all.

I've been varying between Spann and WAFF in Huntsville all night; both have done a great job. WAPT when the storms were over Jackson was pretty good too, and something internal must've happened during the DirecTV mess (besides dumping off the reality crap), because The Weather Channel has been covering this on full cylinders.

This is my first time able to watch WeatherNation since my cable system picked up WIWN from Milwaukee; they seem to be good on the post-sharing stuff from Facebook and Twitter, but their live coverage needs work. I think putting their local updates on the 5s stunts continuous coverage and it could use some variations when weather breaks.
