The Weather Channel

NBC HAS KILLED THE WEATHER CHANNEL..

Is it just me?

I want the old weather channel back. NBC could destroy a steel ball with a rubber hammer.

JUST GIVE THE WEATHER! I DON'T CARE ABOUT STORM STORIES. I DON'T CARE ABOUT WEATHER "SHOWS"

I JUST WANT THE WEATHER!

NBC YOU SUCK.

I guess The Weather Channel is to this board, as 87.7 FM is to the New York radio board... several threads ranting about it at the same time... ::)

It's all good, though. Of course, one would argue that there should be a subforum in which to discuss all of NBC's dubious decisions.

As WCRB is to the Boston rado board.

The Weather Channel is a (slowly) dying brand. Weather.com, on the other hand, still has a future.

And don't forget WALE to the Providence board - featuring "the thread that wouldn't die." ;D

The Weather Channel's death seems to have been sped up. I had it on this morning getting ready for work, and it seems like every time I had time to pay attention to it, they were giving the NEWS headlines from MSNBC. I guess we can start to see weather take a back seat in it's programming, NBC has other crappy channels to promote.

Dear NBC Universal,

Re: The Weather Channel

Less is More.....

Take off Roker......please no movies......please can all the special hour long weather documentaries..........

If all you want is the weather, check one or more of your local network affiliate's xx.2 channels. Here in Phoenix, we have three of them: 5.2 (CBS), 12.2 (NBC),and 15.2 (ABC). That's probably two too many, but all of them have been on the air for years.

Or, there's always weather.com or the website for your city's daily fish-wrap.

weather.com is an extention of the Weather Channel. A better site is weather.gov, which is the NOAA weather site. It's where the "meteorlogists" get their weather data from. And weather.gov is less cluttered with crap compared to weather.com and it's easier to navigate.

Did I just see somebody use the words "gov", "less" and "crap" in succession, in the same sentence? :D

The National Weather Service website is one of the few places you can do that without laughing!

2 Questions....

I havent noticed any more movies on TWC,Are they still airing them?

Question Number Two

Is NBC doing anything right? USA Network seems to be the best thing for them right now.I don't get the SYFY idea but they have some decent shows although a name change to ECW is in the works.Actually, SYFY's biggest show is ECW.The show does'nt even fit there. Now move WWE ECW to NBC 10 o'clock primetime.

I like stormstoriesbut I haven't catch a movie on there yet.On slow weather day they could run a movies that are related to weather.
Yes I agree on NBC ruined the channel as the same as Viacom ruined
MTV and its reletives.
