The Week Expirement @ 105.3 RESULTS?

Well, what was the outcome of Valerie's week on Roth Radio. Was it just as big of a train wreck as DLR?

My guess is that Russ will move to mornings when Infinity ponies up the bucks come August. Then, a tape delay of the Adam Corolla show then followed by the "You can't fire us or we will sue" duo-but the clock is ticking on them so perhaps a new and refreshing show for mid-days. Followed by Lykis live, then Lovelines and of course the replay of RMS.

Pugs and Kelly ? Is it just because of their bookings that they survive, it certainly isn't because of their talent. How much longer do they really have?

Russ, he has Gavin by the short hairs. Russ would never make it on Satellite radio-XM or Sirius. He is a nobody beyond DFW. A rotten interviewer, and can only do skits that relate locally. Case in point, the flop to syndicate in Austin. Ron and Don could be a buffer if 105.3 doesn't change formats-that would save a lot of money.

Party on dudes.

Insight from an outsider?

First, there was no "Valerie Week" on Roth. If you listened, paid attention, or was even conscious, you would've known that it was a day, not a week.

You have an amazing amount of insight into what will happen on 105.3 for someone who obviously never listens...

We all know that DLR will go through the end of the year. It sucks, but that's the way it'll go. We also know that the Russ Martin Show will not follow the Cubic-Z Dave debacle. In order to do that, the RMS would have to move East, probably to New York, and the show just wouldn't work that way.

Nice try, though...<P ID="signature">______________

Russ has stated emphatically and continually that he will NEVER again do mornings.

It won't happen.

And the "flop" in Austin was predicated by the PM down there, Dusty Whatshisname...

They weren't pulling Dallas numbers, but they boosted ratings in that time slot significantly.

How do you people who have no knowledge of radio post this crap? If you had a clue, you would know that Russ will never do mornings and P & K have very good ratings. Syndication in Austin would have been successful if they had a PD down there who understood the format i.e. not branding a talk station The Coyote. In the final month, the ratings were way up. And why would 105.3 flip formats? The station makes a ton of money. And finally, you ruined any credibility you had left when you suggest bringing back Ron and Don.

Russ won't do mornings unless a helluva lot of $$$$ are waved in front of him. Me thinks Gort and Tired are connected to the show or the company or maybe the building itself;)

Speaking of the Austin syndication deal, was Leykis the one that did the best in the ratings of the shows that were tried there before the flip back?

Don't know, but Leykis has been in Austin before. Back in the mid-90's.

I guess you never know for sure what a market is going to like, but Leykis seems more compatible with Austin than Russ Martin.

You two Morons (Tired & Gort) take the wax out of your ass and listen.
Russ is a radio (BLEEP). If the price is right (and CBS Radio is (BLEEP) chasing) he will do mornings. He has this bug up his ass about Ron Chapman. Russ wants to be the next Ron Chapman of Dallas. So, if he get's the payday Chapman never reached he will do it! He wont have the connection to Mel Karmazin since he left to go to Sirius. But what "Good (BLEEP)" needs a pimp.

Russ will never make it outside of this market. Chapman knew that and so does Russ. Ergo, the Austin experiment that just needed some filler while they gathered their new staff.

With New York making such decisions as letting go of Howard Stern and bringing Roth radio to us. Their decision making ability is very suspect. Not to mention the recent payola scandal. Which PD will fall on his sword for CBS Radio?
When the fines and or sentencing comes. Where will the cut backs start? On Air staffs? How about one local show per market with syndicated shows all around it?
I bet it happens-or NY will use that as an excuse to trim the fat.

I do listen to 105.3, how else did I hear about Val's try out. You 2 MORONS didn't offer your critique of her opportunity

Also, when Gavin was looking for a replacement morning show. He did in fact consider Ron and Don. Just ask Russ Gort and Tired you MORONS.

With the current 105.3 line-up, My hand was forced-I bought a Sirius satellite radio. This is the best thing to happen to radio.

Live Long and Prosper.
