"The Wells Report" off KLIF?

I hate what has become of local radio. While I almost never agreed with his JD's views, local talk radio is an enjoyable medium. Soon the AM dial will be nothing but syndicating program and 1/2 hour infomercials and how unfortunate that will be.
This is the worst news I've heard all day. People like JD made it possible for young people like me to wake up and open our eyes to what was really going on in the world, rather than being suckered into a sense of unthinking liberal entitlement. Even when people disagreed with them, as long as they were polite, he gave them a place to speak their truth. Everyone got a place at the table. Now, the only person we've got left to let us have a voice on what's going on in our neighborhood at KLIF is Jeff Bolton.

I am not exaggerating when I say that I went from a 40 year old person who had never voted in a single election to registered voter, Tea Party goer, and downright pain in the rear to Nancy Pelosi and others with my daily letters and emails. Glad to see that John David Wells is outta here! Arrogant and never connected with the D/FW market. An outsider who never took the time to learn about the people here. He talked over everyone who had an opposing view. This is a good day. I have confidence that he will find work elsewhere.

I joined the Texas State Guard over a year ago, I coach and umpire for the Fossil Creek Little League, I'm in the cast of the Ste. Elizabeth Anne Seton production of "The Last Supper".....I've appeared at Tea Parties, 912 Rallies, Texas Political Caucuses, helped collect Christmas toys for hospitalized children at Cooks Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth and judged art contests for the kids at Shriners Hospital in Dallas, and on and on....
That's the real work I do in Dallas/Ft. Worth....The opportunities I'm fortunate to have had in DFW Radio, make that work possible....And for that I'm thankful.
I am hopeful that there may be another chance to bring The Wells Report to DFW Radio in the future. If that happens, perhaps you'll take the time to actually listen to it before you exhibit your ignorance on Radio-Info.

It's horrible to hear this news :'(. I wish I could have shook your hand one more time JD. Whether it's at Border's, Star Power or wherever. I'll miss watching you on justin.tv. I'll especially miss the Flame-out Friday. KLIF has had too many changes lately. Darrell Ankarlo, Greg Knapp and now Jon-David Wells. If Jeff Bolton leaves, I'm dropping KLIF from my favorites. Resort to 820 AM then

As a newcomer to Texas, I relied on KLIF to clue me into the political climate of Texas and what makes Texas tick in general. I looked forward to listening to The Wells Report on my way home in the evening. Although I didn't always agree with JD's views, I respected them and used them to formulate my own opinions. I appreciated his tone and confidence most of all.
I hope that another DFW-based station will have enough foresight to put JD back on the air.

I registered to specifically make a comment on this.
I started listening to the Wells report because it came on after Dave Ramsey. I listened because it had a view. I didn't agree with a lot of it, but at least there was some intelligent thought and discussion.

Same as tiggy818. I live in Houston but am originally from the DFW area and was looking for a station that streamed Dave Ramsey live. I ended up keeping the radio on and instantly fell in love with the Wells Report. I have no idea why the show was cancelled but I hope it gets picked up somewhere soon. Thanks for being one of the best parts of my day!
