The Whale Hockey on WCCT-TV

I asked my brother about this. He said that some early Hartford Wolfpack games were once aired by WBNE-TV/WCTX-TV channel 59 of New Haven. The franchise has been in Hartford since the 1997-98 season, hence the uncertainty on which channel 59 call letters to use. As for this thread, I will assume that we're strictly talking about over-the-air games and not cable.

I believe that's the CPTV Sports Network, which was formerly known as CT-SN. It is a combined effort between them and WFSB-TV for production.

Did anybody else watch this game? I had most of it on in the next room. The call was done by radio voice Bob Crawford and color was done by Rich Cappola of WTIC-TV. I noticed that the advertising was quite limited, with half of it being Whale related or a couple ads you'd see on the video board at the XL Center. Also, the same damn ad from Fast Eddie's had to have run at least 10 times or more. As for the picture, it may have been an SD feed being thrown onto 16:9. There was no crispness to the on-screen graphics either.
