Hey BRENT, I don't believe it is you who would be labeled ignorant.

If you're talking about who I think you're talking about...he's gonna have to stop the "kill the rooster" bit, if this is true.

Longtime Columbus air personality Bear O'Brian has no longer been mornings at 106.1 in Columbus for several weeks. Morning sidekick Dr. Dave is doing mornings for now, a friend told me Clear Channel had an ad in the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer for the morning slot, of course that might just be an EOM thing. Interesting move if CC/Columbus management brings in Moby on 106.1, and if successful might have a domino effect among other small/medium market CC properties in Georgia/Alabama.

106.1 in Columbus is "Rooster 106," not "106.1 the rooster" as per OP.

Heck I was there in the late 80s/early 90s when it was South 106, and simulcast on 540 am, we would say "South 106 AM & FM". South 106, then Kicks 106, then back to South 106, then after CC brought them it became Rooster 106. 106.1 has been country since 1986 when Solar Broadcasting (Allen Woodall) brought it, and moved the tower from Alexander City, AL to Auburn.
