I've made copies of most of the unscoped airchecks of
John Landecker on reelradio.

Does anyone have any more out there from 1972-?
during his years at WLS?

Thanks!

I've got one, but it's from 1986. It's not like the 70s, John talks a lot more than he did then. There's a scoped aircheck from 1986 on reelradio that will give you an idea what it's like, if you never heard JRL then.

See http://www.geocities.com/honkeyblues/.

Hey -- I've heard alot of Landecker, being his biggest fan.
I have one of the airchecks listed on reelradio...I sent it
to Uncle Rickey and he added it to his collection.

I was unaware of that fact. Landecker was the first person I ever heard on WLS. In 1986. I was 11!

I have a WLS tape from march 74 and from may 76 and they are good quality

Any highlights you can remember about the tapes?

Re: Landecker Promoting JAMS

I have a JAMS promotion tape featuring John Landecker being himself and introducing a new jingle package for JAMS.

Steve,
I have the original album with that on it! I got it at the very
first radio station that hired me.

Of course, not many of us back then knew it was a keeper.

Re: Landecker Promoting JAMS

Yeh,

that is a cool item. My copy is on a CD of JAMS promotions. Your record could be worth something to the right person.

from way back then.

Yep, aong with some others. The version on the album is shorter
than the one I have on CD from Jam.
