Thoughts on the winter book? KMJ, of course, will say their demos are better - younger, more hip.

KWYE's rise, not unexpected but are they really Hot AC or stepping over the line. Seems to be a big step for a former KALZ listener. And, what of KLLE? Cellar dweller or was that 3.0 a blip.

So, whatcha all think?

Look at the Visalia book and you'll find that KFRR does have some listeners after all.

Back to the Winter Fresno Book - I'm wondering how Jen and John are doing against Rush? Jen seems along for the ride on so many subjects. I will say, that when I need a dose of local right-wing talk, I'm trending to Manders instead of Chris over on KMJ.. Manders makes Chris appear to be a tree hugging liberal.

Has anyone a clue as to the morning battle?

KGED appears to be picking up a few advertisers from KMJ.
 
No big surprises. However I really wonder about the KMJ-FM numbers. Do more people really listen to Chris Daniel and John and Jen on the AM side? Or is morning news, Ray and Inga really pulling their weight.

I still think diary keepers just write KMJ for the most part. Could a true simulcast have pulled a 6.7? Does Peak even care? Maybe the cash from double sales for John and Jen and Chris Daniel make it worth it, notice different spots run FM and AM.

Anyone know of any other station doing this?

I think the KMJ FM advertisers are getting a deal and a half, and I bet more people listen to John and Jen, Chris Daniel on 105.9

kMJ ought to split the Am amd FM up0, its like compeating with itself

Do you mean use 105.9 for something other than talk? I agree it sure seems like a waste, but I would fear not having a FM presence with powertalk in the market.
 
KMJ should DEFINITELY do a FULL 100% simulcast with 580 & 105.9.

Now is the time.

Can't believe Clear Channel thinks they're on to something with 103.7 & 102.7.

Still no Top 40 in Fresno... looks like KWYE is reaping the benefits of that. A good CHR would fix that fast.

The "Kiss" name just got picked up by 104.9 KCRZ which has an amazing signal in Fresno/Clovis with the right car and home receiver, of course, do to their transmitter move.

My bad, I thought I heard kiss104.9 instead of Hitz104.9, which is brand new, it was Z104.9 last week, It wouldn't make sense for the Kiss name to be used twice as in Kiss Country 93.7.
