I think WKRP was a better run station that 1510. The hosts have such little to say they often spend their time talking about the other shows on the station. I tuned in to hear the new morning show and they were talking about Michele McPhee and how she is constantly late and her inability to pronounce certain words. Later that day, I tuned into McPhee and she was talking about the Morning Show hosts.
Maybe it is better that they stay away from serious topics. McPhee calls Marco Rubio. Mario Rubio. She was talking about Ted Cruz and called him Rick Sanchez. Her producer corrected her and she just blew it off by saying “you know one of them”
I constantly hear just three local ads.
1. The Venetian in Weymouth. This restaurant is owned by John Pica’s Father and Mother.
2. JP3 Graphics. Any guess what the JP stands for? You guessed it John Pica. This is his Graphics Company.
3. The other Italian Restaurant is a trade with the woman who buys time on Saturdays.
How they plan to generate enough revenue to pay the rent, never mind the electric bill is beyond me.

Yesterday they were running a 3 week old Capitol Hill Show in PM drive.

I don't know if that was a choice of 'MEX or the syndicator, but these people seem to fail to realize that programming centered around current events and news usually is already stale even if the show is delayed by 3 hours, never mind 3 weeks. So for me, it was junk in AM drive and junk in PM drive, so I went elsewhere.

I was trying to give them a chance; certainly they had Howie for awhile and there was Herald Radio, good for short bits. Now that Berner and his relatives have bought the station
it is (back to) Trainwreck time. A few times, Bryan asked me for advice on a facebook message (do you think Dennis Miller would work? Any good local hosts we could hire?) but now is there anything for me to listen to? At least I can follow their follies..

It's time to play who's on the schedule, why haven't they said why Ligotti is gone, why is the facebook group or website inaccurate, etc. Certainly the billboards they' ve rented (the
electronic type like one on 128 nr Centennial Dr in Peabody) were booked in advance and it promotes "The Guy From Boston, Mornings", still. Website has been slow to update--still says Renegade is on at noon. They took a pal of the Andelmans and put him in at noon vs. Kuhner. Admittedly I only heard a minute or two of it--they had an update on the Chattanooga shootings yesterday, etc. So I can't really judge his skills as a host. It seems like the station is a hobby for
Bryan and his pals, ratings and earnings be damned. Yeah they did come up with the money to buy it--hey, it was either the station or an old tiny house in Chelsea for that $175k--unlike Wallis who never did convert the LMA to purchase. But what has been done?

--So McPhee announces last week that the morning show will now be Renegade Radio, the show they plugged in when Bill Keeler apparently fell through. No word from them or Joe L.
why he left, other than a pathetic "sorry for the inconvenience" message on facebook. Not even "things didn't quite work out and we wish him well". The face of Joe and Michele kissing was still on the FB group and site for awhile. Then they put up a "Live And Local" graphic on the facebook group, but I guess finally they did put one up with the new lineup. That is,
the new new new lineup. Don't know who'll be on in a couple months or even a couple weeks.
