The Wolf gets NASCAR

Oh ho! Quite the prize for the wolf!
The only thing more boring than watching cars drive in a circle for hundreds of miles is LISTENING to it.

WQLK 96.1 in Richmond, IN has run NASCAR race broadcasts as well. I guess it does fit in with the country format somewhat.

I think WFMG 101.3 in Richmond runs Miami University sports. MAX-FM (WOXY/WAXZ/WAOL) is carrying Ohio State football and basketball. There's sort of a sports overload between all the potential things one could run (or is running) in Cincy. UK, Xavier, UC, Miami, OSU, etc... No way a single station could take on that many play-by-play contracts. Also depends on if it makes money too...

Plus most of The September and October NASCAR races get bounced off of 1530 due to the Bengels Contract. i know in the past sometimes those got bumped to 550 but i think CC Makes more money off of the Shows on 550 than they could with the Nascar bump in the september/Octoboer months

I would agree that it's a good move for The Wolf. It leads me to believe the station will remain country after Bonneville takes over, though I'm still not convinced it will keep The Wolf branding.

This station sounds better than anything Salem and Cumulus did with Country. If it had better coverage I think it would put a hurt on the B.

you gotta be kidding. NO way wil they let Wolf compete with B. That's why they bought it, and that's why there's a no compete agreement between Cumeless and Entercom. But I wonder if Bonneville has to live up to that agreement or will it die when the trade takes effect?
